Starling Match Racing

Twelve sailors, representing 11 regions of New Zealand and a wild card, will compete in the Starling Match Racing National Championships from 5 to 8 February 2027 at RAYC.

On this page you will find Rules for the Starling Match Racing Nationals, Region Definitions and the NOR.  

To qualify for entry you have to be nominated to represent your region.  Region definitions are set out in the download --->.

• The trial for the North Harbour region will be held at MBSC tbc
• The trial for the Auckland region will be held at RAYC tbc
• The trial for the Waikato region will be held at Hamilton on tbc.
• The trial for the Bay of Plenty region will be held at Tauranga tbc
• The trial for the East (Taupo / Hawkes Bay) region will be held at Napier on Sun 13 Dec 2026.
• The trial for the Nelson / Marlborough region will be held at Queen Charlotte on tbc
• The trial for the Canterbury region will be held at Naval Point by CYA. tbc
• The trial for the South region will be held at Wanaka on the weekend of tbc

Please ensure you are a paid up member of the SCA and a club within the trial area prior to entry of an Match Racing Trial so your result can be confirmed
